➡️ Go to next activity manually [Option to progress MANUALLY not automatically to the next task]#61

Maybe this is already an option - but if so I can’t find it. I set up some routines with approximate times but I really want to mark each one ‘complete’ rather than automatically progressing to the next activity. I know I can finish them early, but sometimes I need more time and don’t want to pause.

It would be great to use this feature and allow the app to record and compare how much time we think a task should take versus how long it is actually taking us, and maybe offer to update the estimated time or update the estimated time automatically.

I expected this app to have this feature–( with a notification on the time ending– without it I have to use routinery 😫. I was also hoping for a count up timer

Option for activities to not be automatically marked as completed once the scheduled time has passed would be great :)

My workflow is this: I have a bunch of routines and activities on a particular day. Some of the activities are not getting done, but others are getting done.
I want the ability to check off the things that are done and the things that are not done, manually when I want, and have things running on auto for time-based reminders for things that just happen.
I need the ability to amend the date and time to another date to continue completing an activity before, during and after the end time of a scheduled activity.
Counting down is great if I want an auto count-down for things that are auto. And Manual completion is something I need when I want to check an activity off early or late as manually completed, or in another case it might be incomplete and closed (archived).
Also, unscheduled routines, and activities, should not close on a particular day but be floated to the next day, or at least have the option of being manually completed or not and stay open and floated to the next day if not touched.
Thanks! :)

Thank you for the feedback! We have a prototype ready for this we need to test. Would you be interested in participating in a user test?

I just wanted to add some thoughts on what I think would be a similar use case as this suggestion. I’m a new user so I’m still wrapping my head around it. (sorry if this is long!) This is what happened to me this morning:

I had the following planned tasks:
7:15 - 7:25 | Wake up
7:25 - 7:30 | Brush teeth & wash face
7:30 - 7:35 | Clothes on
7:35 - 7:40 | Take medication/vitamins
7:40 - 7:50 | Eat Breakfast

However, I had a hard time falling asleep last night, so when 7:15 rolled around, I ended up hitting the snooze button a couple times. And by the time I actually got out of bed around 7:40, all of the tasks that I was supposed to complete before 7:40 had already auto-marked themselves complete which didn’t really help me.

Ideally, what would have happened is that the first task “Wake up” would have continued to be active and gone into something like negative time while simultaneously bumping the times of the future tasks to accomodate the delay; the future tasks would only become active once I marked the activity as done.

It would also be nice if you could specify whether a task is time sensitive (tasks that can’t be bumped around such as meetings which can’t start early or when you need to leave the house in order to arrive to work on time which obviously can’t be bumped too far later) vs non-time sensitive tasks (like, if it doesn’t take me 5 minutes to take my medication/vitamins, I would be fine with “eat breakfast” automatically moving up to fill the gap).

Sorry for the long string of text and hopefully this is the right place to put it! Overall, I’m loving the app so far, this is just one small thing that I think would really benefit me personally and may be useful to others!
