I have to unlock my phone every time I want to see how much time I have left- it would be great to have the option to be able to see how much time I have left for a task in progress without having to unlock my phone all the time!
I think this is possible on both iOS 14 and above and on Android if you use the widgets.
Tried using the pomodoro routine now - when screen locks its basically useless (to me, at least). I hyperfocused - as per usual - and so I have no idea weather I got some sort of notification or sound or anything to mark the end of a pomodoro - so when sceen was locked so theres neither a visual, sensory (watch vibrating) or audible cue (that I notcied, at least, but that might be my problem :D), theres really no way of knowing that a pomodoro has ended.
Alternatively, a toggle within activities themselves to keep the screen on might be preferred, so it鈥檚 not a global setting to either have the screen on or off for every activity.
Apple have just announced that this feature will be supported in iOS 16 so we are looking into this!
I鈥檓 hoping this can be implemented through Live Activities/Dynamic Island on iOS. The widgets are nice for a quick view but Live Activities showing the current and next tasks would be great while working on something and avoiding distractions by staying on the Lock Screen.
Hi everyone, Thank you for your input!
We are working on adding live activities (iOS) so you can follow the activities live, just like you are able to do with a timer/countdown.
Cheers!
So is there a way to do this on Android? I haven鈥檛 been able to get it to do it, specifically be able to pause on the lock screen or look at how much time is left without unlocking
Hi Laura, Thank you for pitching in! 馃コ At the moment, this is not something that we are working on on Android (and to be honest, I am not sure whether a similar functionality to Live Activities is possible on Android).
Our Android team is growing and we鈥檙e doing everything we can to bring the Android version of the app up to speed!
Best,
Laura
