The automatic task icon / emoji is aggravating#4733

I have the latest version of the app. I have to open the task a minimum of two times and sometimes even three times to manually remove the ugly suggested emoji before it doesn’t automatically reappear.

Here are the reasons you should provide an option to remove them:

1. The suggested icons are bad.
2. Certain tasks dont have any emoji that represents it.
3. User customization. Let the user pick.
4. Feature introduces friction in the planning process.

Why is this feature a core part of the app? I haven’t seen any users rave about this feature. In fact, i’ve seen users complain about this feature.

I personally dont use any emoji’s and tasks are colour coded based on areas - blue = work, green = chores etc. So for a user like me the emojis are such a hassel to remove.

All i’m asking for is an option in the settings menu to toggle this feature off!
