I would personally love to have the option of a traditional grid-style calendar view on iPhone. I would also love the ability to filter what appears on the calendar. For example, I could have four different colours for my four classes (while keeping the same emoji) and then use a filter to say, “I only want to see Pharmacology.” This would be especially helpful when I need to focus on one specific area without being overwhelmed by everything else.
