🗓↕️ All day events#45

It would be great to have an all-day event option where it isn’t necessarily listed as a task or activity. For example to mark holidays, birthdays, paydays, etc. just so I can see it on the My Day view.

I would like this on a calendar by calendar basis. I have a calendar with time blocked tasks. However if I don’t have a time associated with the tasks on that calendar it would be great if it didn’t show in tiimo… on other calendars it’d be great for all day events to show on the day view in the app but not get listed as tasks. Also on the watch complication for iOS don’t show all day events…

Would love like a notes section or something at the top of the day view to be able to note birthdays, holidays, pay days etc

All day events that don’t have time block associated and an “important dates” tab with a filterable list would be super.
Birthdays, work days, holidays, moon phase, events(wedding/concert/Field trip/guests).
A quick overview of big things without the clutter of routines and scheduled tasks.
Searchable or filterable would be even better. I could put in my kids school calendar and a household category for things like garbage/recycle days or deliveries coming.

Hi everyone, thank you for your suggestions. We are excited to announce that a new way of viewing All Day events in the app has been added! (unfrotunately only on IOS at the moment)

Hi Laura, thank you so much for the update. I always have a lot of all-day events in my calender to keep track of everything, so this solves a lot of clutter for me. I love the design, especially how they fold together when scrolling up. 😊

My thanks as well for adding the functionality of editing iCal items, instead of turning them into Tiimo-only items. Not sure when that was added, but absolutely love that functionality.

My last request in regards to usability would be that the same swipe-left functionality the regular events have, is to be added to the all-day events. Since now deletion for those events is not possible.

The All-day events and editing iCal events are apart of a bigger effort to improve the calendar import function.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can now also choose an icon and color for an entire calendar now - instead of unlinking from calendar whenever editing of some sort.

We are aware of the all day cards not being able to swipe-delete. We are working on it, but it is a bit more complicated code-wise.

We are so excited about these calendar import improvements - and we hope you are too!

Please give us the option to not have all day events show in the “my day” view. There’s things that happen all day that aren’t timed activities. I find it really hard when there’s a big timer for events like that that I’m importing from my Callander. It makes it harder to add and track other tasks. Even a toggle in settings “show all day events as timed in my day” that we could turn off would be great. Thanks!

Yes! As mwntioned by someone, have a task for the whole day with checkpoints/subtasks for water, mood, or just have a task/ wholeday task/reminder like you suggest for birthday, payday, affirmation/goal for the day. Would love if it didnt show countdown/time. Maybe an option to choose time or not

I REALLY need to be able to hide or delete all-day events or at least not have them show up in the ‘right now’ view - which they basically do anytime I don’t have another timer running
