Hi!
I downloaded your app and I really love how clean and minimal it is! From someone with ADHD who has used a LOT (pretty much all of them haha) of to do list apps can I give some feedback on simple features that I think would streamline things a lot and is a game changer for efficiency. Just to start, I really love the aesthetics, of your app, the fact that it is simple to add tasks, how lists are organised (through priority, task size, and Eisenhower matrix). Out of all the ones I have used, I like yours the most but it’s missing one essential feature in my opinion.
I can’t speak for everyone with ADHD, but for me these apps need to be fast, efficient and agile in order for me to keep using them. So the less you need to click, the better. I think that creating tasks in Timoo is very easy, however managing them later isn’t so much.
The biggest missing feature in Timoo is some simple drag and drop features. For example on the calendar (today) page, it would be so much easier if the user could drag a task under ‘anytime’ to the desired time under ‘planned’ task instead of having to click on the task, select edit, to then select and choose time of day. Same goes for rescheduling a task to a different day, if something doesn’t get done, to be able to drag and drop to the next day.
Also, another big thing is that the to-do list and the daily planner/calendar to-dos aren’t connected. So if i dump all I need to do in the to-do list and on each day want to move them into the planner, the only way to do it is individually go into each one, and reschedule to today, but if you want it in a specific time, then you need to click on edit and change the time there. If either you could drag and drop the tasks from the to do to the day you want to do them in would be amazing. Alternatively if you could select multiple and edit the day, that could also work.
One small thing, when creating a task, three quick actions come up, depending if you are on the planner or to-do tab it is the ‘list’ or ‘anytime’, the repeat sign or the length of the task, then the (…) for more options. Again, I truly believe that the less clicks the better, so if all these options could be available in both calendar and to-do tab without having to go in the (…) would be amazing, alternatively you could let the user edit which shortcuts they want to appear. I know that you want the interface to be minimal, but this only pops up when adding a task so I don’t think it interferes with the minimal look of the app. But I would prioritise the other drag-and-drop/task management features before.
I know this may not sound like it will make a huge difference. But coming from someone with ADHD, I am constantly rescheduling asks and the fact that there are a lot of steps to do so, makes it so that I end up not adding the tasks at all.
I have used your app on and off for a few years, but this has always been an issue. But this time I would really like to stick with it.
I understand that doing this might be more complicated than it sounds, however, I think if you did this, your app would truly become perfectly flawless.
Sorry for the long email, I just really wanted to share some thoughts on how to make your app even better! Please let me know what you think and if you think these features could be added to the app in the near future.
Thanks,
Carol Jourdan
