Bring back routines#2733

Please revert to the way routines were previously set up in the app. The removal of this feature makes the app far less useful to me.

Agreed! The new setup is completely useless.

YES! the individual tasks in a routine being a checklist is not helpful. without each task having its own timer, start/end time, and time reminders I can’t keep on track with getting each task of my routine done on time.

After talking with their support, they just keep suggesting using tasks. Which is SO frustrating if I need to adjust the time on things. E.g. I started my morning routine late and now instead of adjusting the time once on the whole routine, I have to adjust the time on 20+ tasks. It’s ridiculous but I’m glad to see that other people are just as frustrated with this change as I am!

It was SOOO helpful putting timing to each task in a routine so that you could understand how long the entire routine actually takes. I prefer this UX, but timing on tasks needs to come back

YES. Please bring back routines!!

With routines I was able to set up specific task sequences for different scenarios and easily save them to drop in when needed. Ie: Subtly different morning routines to accommodate different types of days (morning routine for days I wash my hair vs days I don’t, morning routine for days I am not feeling well, morning routine for if I woke up late).

With tasks I need to then drop in each of these items individually and remember what order I have decide they make sense in which is awful. The alternative suggestion of using a task called ‘morning routine’ for each of these means I have a mile long list of subtasks and that overwhelms me visually and requires a ton of scrolling to navigate.

If you want an answer, you’ll have to write them an email: hello@tiimo.dk

They won’t answer you here.

I loved the routine feature in tiimo and I was so dissappointed to see that it’s removed. Please bring back the routine feature!

I have just cancelled my monthly subscription - Tiimo worked for me when routines had timed sub-tasks… It was the main differentiator between Tiimo and other apps - which I much preferred the UI & functionality of, but was willing to use and pay for Tiimo to have routines with timed sub-tasks with the focus timer…

They won’t respond to their emails either. I’ve submitted multiple bug reports and requested follow-up, but there has been complete silence on their end.

Can I please ask people what the routine feature was? I have only recently downloaded Tiimo in the last few months. I am someone who really enjoys have my routines timeblocked into my calendar (now Tiimo) - I have had to add “Morning Routine” with each step being a subtask. Was the routines feature similar or how did it differ? :)

@Stephaniejd98 Routines were just like that but each subtask had a timer with it. It was so useful and the best part of Tiimo in my opinion. So instead of a 30 minute “Morning Routine” task with 3 subtasks, you could have a 30 minute “Morning” routine with 3 ten minute subtasks. If you go into the app in the calendar view and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner, click “explore routines.” I’ve been using Routinery as a substitute for the timebeing.

@Stephaniejd98 it was also nice because you could have different routines for all sorts of things. So you could have morning routine workday and then you had every single thing that you need to do on an average day before you leave the house in there and every single task had a individual timer for how long you need for the task. And then you could have like morning routine day off morning routine, feeling lazy, etc. and you could just drag and drop these into your schedule as needed was exceptional.
