Lifetime subscription as part of the subcription plans.
Bad idea. The more people paying, the more money the tiimo team will have to develop a nice app for us and pay for their expansive rent in Copenhagen and their smørrebrød. They deserve it.
Lifetime subscriptions don’t really fit the costs of maintaining and updating a service. I understand why people suggest it, but I think it’s more sustainable to have a subscription for the ongoing work the team puts into the apps and backend.
From someone who works with the disability community to support, encourage, and provide tools for independence and has certification in assistive technology: I understand the point of view for funding the ongoing development and maintenance of the app, but there is also a loss of revenue from their intended customer pool due limited income and budgeting restraints that they have. Subscriptions also also exclude the ability for someone to use their funding to pay for a tool like this app. Personally love the app and would highly recommend it to folks, if it had a one time pay fee instead.
Does anyone on iOS still need help locating the lifetime subscription?
I’m more curious just how much “development” time is required to bring this “feature” to Android, and why it hasn’t been done yet.
If lifetime purchases become unsustainable for the team, I’ve always thought paying an additional small fee for useful updates/newer versions after buying lifetime access to all the basics (that of course includes maintenance) is extremely fair. Just a thought!
please make this finally a thing for android !!!! I need it
This just feels insulting at this point. Android continues to lag behind in important features, and despite that, we’re the platform that’s excluded from purchasing a lifetime subscription? How much longer are we supposed to be strung along, waiting for these features that were promised years ago?
I also can’t find this. Was it reoved when Tiimo Learn launched?
Hi there - yes it was indeed removed when Tiimo Learn launched. We did not experience a big demand for the lifetime access, and therefore we decided to remove the option 💚
